These industries are set to drive prosperity and bolster national defense and security, emerging as key arenas of competition not only for developed nations but also for developing countries.
On May 31, 2024, during the 7th fiscal session of the 15th National Assembly, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung presented a draft resolution to amend and supplement Resolution No. 119/2020/QH14. This resolution addresses the piloting of the urban government model and introduces specific mechanisms and policies to spur the development of Da Nang City. Minister Dung emphasized that the draft resolution aims to leverage advantages, tackle challenges, and rectify shortcomings in urban governance as outlined in Resolution No. 119. It seeks to establish a robust legal framework to unlock potential, capitalize on advantages, and eliminate bottlenecks in the city’s socio-economic development, in line with the goals set by the Politburo.

Among the 21 proposed pilot policies are several initiatives focused on promoting investment in semiconductor development, artificial intelligence, and innovation. These initiatives highlight Da Nang as a prime destination for businesses looking to invest and expand in these cutting-edge fields.

In alignment with this strategy, on July 12th, 2024, the Connexus Board of Directors had a meeting with the People’s Committee of Da Nang City and Synopsys Company, Synopsys has been a steadfast partner of the People’s Committee in advancing the pilot policies for semiconductor development. During the meeting, Connexus expressed its appreciation for the enthusiastic support from the People’s Committee, which will accelerate Connexus’ expansion plan to Da Nang city.
